Strength To Serve Challenge

The Strength To Serve Challenge is an obstacle and fitness race held on September 13, 2026 at 7900 Green Lakes Road, Fayetteville, NY 13066. The course is approximately 3 miles and includes about 23 challenges that are inspired by first responder training.

Signature obstacles include Search & Rescue, where participants navigate a marked zone to locate and recover a simulated victim; Hose Drag, which involves pulling a weighted hose line across grass; Wall Hop, a series of walls that require technique to clear; Victim Drag, moving a simulated rescue dummy through a defined lane; 911 Mental Toughness, tasks that test focus under fatigue with timed information or sequencing tasks; and Terrain Run, which uses uneven grass, turns and short inclines.

The event combines running, functional fitness and job inspired challenges. Obstacles are described as having options to scale difficulty so participants with different experience levels can adjust the tasks. The event brings together firefighters, police, EMS, 911 dispatchers, teachers, nurses and other community members.

Registration opens April 9, 2026 and closes September 10, 2026. The registration fee is $50.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
