Trail Race at Long Point State Park

Stephen's Run is a 6k cross country race taking place at Long Point State Park on Chautauqua Lake in Bemus Point. The event is a memorial race for a local high school cross country runner, and all proceeds support a memorial scholarship fund. The course utilizes the trail systems within the state park near the marina.

Participants who register by July 19 receive a commemorative shirt. The event organizers provide awards for overall winners as well as age group categories. Following the completion of the race, light refreshments are available for all participants.

The event is recognized as part of the Chautauqua Striders 2026 Runner of the Year Series. Registration is available in advance or on the day of the event. On-site payment options include cash, check, or Venmo.

Accessing the race site involves a vehicle entry fee of $7 to enter the state park. Alternatively, participants may park at the end of Lakeside Drive and reach the starting area by walking, running, or biking to the marina location.
