Registration is available online with tiered fees and day of registration at a higher rate. Race packets are distributed from the Berkshire Running Center on the days before the event and limited day of pickup is offered. Bibs include timing chips that must be worn on the front of the body and one chip on each leg; chips are collected at the finish and bibs are kept by participants.
Perks for entrants include a technical short sleeve shirt, finisher medal, a post race food bag, race photos, a free Steel Rail Pale Ale for those 21 and older, and a post race party with live music plus a raffle. Courses have USATF certificates for the marathon and half. Time limits correspond to road closure permits and course support ends when those closures conclude.
The event benefits the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail and a municipal fund for the City of Pittsfield. Wheelchairs and assisted push devices are welcomed with prior coordination; baby strollers and dogs are not allowed. Parking is available near the Visitor Center and spectators are asked to use designated areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
