Standish Woodland Chase : event details

The Standish Woodland Chase takes place on 2 August 2026 at Horsemarling Farm, GL10 3BT. The course is a multi-terrain route of just over 8 miles, following parts of the Cotswold Way. The route is hilly and is run mainly on woodland trails with some road sections along the Cotswold escarpment. All finishers in 2026 will receive a metal souvenir medal. The event is listed as open to entrants aged 16 and over on the race date. An entry fee is shown in the range of £20 to £22.

Race rules and practical information

A strict race cut-off of 2 hours applies; the course will close and no finish times will be issued after this time. A UKA/TRA licence has been applied for. Prizes in Bateman Sports vouchers are allocated to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed male and female individuals (£50/£30/£20), to the first three teams (teams of five runners) (£100/£50/£25), and to Vet categories from 40 upwards (V40, V45, V50, etc) with category prizes noted. Standard personal listening devices are prohibited; only UKA/EA-approved bone-conducting headphones are permitted. There are no changing rooms, showers, or managed bag drop facilities. Race number transfers may be processed through the Eventrac transfer facility up to three working days before the event. The club does not offer refunds for individual withdrawals, but will refund or offer a place if the event is postponed or cancelled. A route is available on Strava.
