Event Overview

The St Austell Skyline 10 is a 10-mile multi-terrain running race taking place on the clay trails around St Austell. The course explores the area's clay mining heritage, passing by old clay dryers, clay pits, and the historic Menacuddle Well. It is the seventh race in the 2025/26 MTRS (Multi-Terrain Race Series).

Course Details

The route is a mix of trails, permissive paths, and footpaths. It features significant climbs, including an ascent to the 'Sky Spur' around 2.5 miles in, which offers views of St Austell Bay. The course includes a loop around Baal Pit, passes Carn Grey quarry, and features a short woodland section. It is marshaled and marked, with two drinks stations provided. There is a cut-off point at the second drinks station at 1 hour and 45 minutes into the race, approximately at mile 6.5.

Event Information

The race is organized by St Austell Running Club and supported by Imerys. The start line is on the clay trail alongside Bodmin Road, a one-mile walk from the Race Headquarters. Race Headquarters, including registration, bag drop, and number collection, is located at Cornwall College St Austell. Free parking is available on-site.

A proportion of any surplus funds from the event will be donated to the Southwest Coast Path charity.

Rules and Regulations

In accordance with Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series rules, the use of personal audio devices (like MP3 players) is banned for safety reasons.
