Course Details

The route is a fully trail-based out-and-back course. It starts at the famous Hell's Mouth location and follows the rugged North Cornwall cliffs to the bay at Portreath, before runners return along the same path to the start. The course features coastal trails with hills.

Participation & Logistics

Registration opens on Friday, 1 January 2027 at 9:00 AM. Entry fees are tiered: £23.00 for non-affiliated runners, £21.00 for affiliated runners (UKA/ARC clubs), and £16.00 for a "Green Entry" requiring participants to run or cycle to the event. These prices include a service fee.

The organizer is Bys Vyken Events and the event has an ARC permit. Refunds are available up to four weeks before the race date. Deferrals are possible up to two weeks before the start date, but cannot be refunded for a subsequent race. The event may be canceled or rescheduled if The Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning; if rescheduling is not possible, the run will be held virtually.
