Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail Series
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail Series is a five event winter trail running series held at popular venues near Canberra. Each event offers three distance categories and uses established fire trails, single tracks and park management tracks around local reserves and hills.
The 2026 race programme lists:
- Short (2 km to 3.6 km)
- Middle (5 km to 10.6 km)
- Longer (9.6 km to 21.1 km)
The five events and their primary venues are: "Cooleman Clip" (Chapman/Cooleman Ridge), "Tidbinbilla Thriller" (Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve), "Red Hill Ramble" (Red Hill), "Ainslie Amble" (Mt Ainslie / Mt Majura) and "Aranda Meander" (Aranda). Course descriptions note mixed terrain, varied gradients and specific on‑route features such as ridgelines, saddles and river crossings. Some courses include steep, rocky ascents and descents; one course warns of a river crossing where feet may get wet.
Administrative details include per race online entry fees with a one‑off bib charge and higher late entry fees. Earlybird entries close two days before each race. Tidbinbilla requires a vehicle day pass for park entry. On‑the‑day entries are possible via smartphone; competitors with a permanent Sri Chinmoy bib are asked to bring it.
Dogs are not permitted in any race of the Series because parts of several courses pass through no dogs areas of Canberra Nature Parks. Age category medals and series trophies are awarded in specified divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
