Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail 100
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail 100 is a 100 km trail ultra held on a wide loop through central, south and north Canberra. The route starts and finishes at Rond Terrace beside Lake Burley Griffin and passes city landmarks and nature areas including Parliament House, Red Hill, Mt Taylor, Stromlo Forest Park, the National Arboretum, Black Mountain Reserve, Mt Majura and Mt Ainslie.
The event is offered as a solo 100 km race or as a relay for teams of 2-4 members. The course is marked and timed using electronic chip timing. There are staffed transition compounds with full aid supplies and additional aid stations approximately every 10 km. Transition compounds are located near Mt Taylor (Waldock St, Chifley), at the end of Kirkpatrick St in Weston, and adjacent to Phillip Ave and Majura Ave in Dickson.
Safety and equipment rules apply: no listening devices are permitted. Solo runners must carry a mobile phone and at least 500 ml of water or sports drink (750 ml to 1 litre recommended); a headlamp and a helper or running companion are required for solo runners commencing the final leg after the event’s late-stage cutoff. Relay runners must carry a mobile phone and a headlamp if they start the final leg late in the day. Cut-off times apply to legs; after cut-offs there will be no marshals, checkpoints or aid stations and split times will not be recorded.
Finishers receive medals or team trophies as specified, and full results are published on the day. A post-event buffet is provided for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
