Squatchy Onesiefest 5K

The Squatchy Onesiefest 5K is a themed trail event on February 14, 2026 at Ramapo Valley County Reservation, starting and finishing at the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference Headquarters in Mahwah, NJ. The course is a 1.60 mile lollipop loop around Scarlet Oak Pond that is flat and mostly on wide gravel and packed dirt. A short singletrack connector under 0.20 miles links the reservation parking lot to the headquarters area.

Distances:

  • 5K - two laps of the 1.6 mile lollipop course
  • Fun Run - one lap, approximately 1.6 miles

Participants receive a bib, handcrafted finishers' medal, and access to an aid station stocked with water, Skratch, and pre-packaged snacks. The course will be marked with neon pink or reflective ribbon and large red directional arrows at turns. Trekking poles are permitted and race organizers will provide a trail conditions report with winter traction recommendations if needed. Restrooms are available in the reservation parking lot. The event capacity is capped at 200 participants. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers provided they are wearing a onesie at the finish. The organizer maintains a stocked first aid kit and AED at headquarters and provides private changing tents. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
