Squatchapple is a trail race set for March 7, 2026 at the Tulip Springs Trailhead on Cherry Lane in the South Mountain Reservation, West Orange, NJ. Hardship entries and a charity-bib option are available; the charity bib requires raising or donating $350 by March 5, 2026. Course and logistics

The course uses three loops that start and finish at Tulip Springs: a 4-mile Turtleback Loop (370 ft gain), a 5.5-mile Locust Grove Loop (600 ft gain), and a 7-mile Mayapple Loop (960 ft gain). Surfaces and features are described for each loop, including carriage roads, singletrack, road crossings, and a common 200+ foot rocky descent used to finish each loop. Overall elevation gain by distance is listed: 50 miles 5,790 ft, 50K 3,860 ft, 20 miles 2,155 ft, 11 miles 1,185 ft. Aid station and check-in are at the main covered pavilion next to the parking lot; portajohns are available at the start/finish and at halfway points on each loop. Participants receive a handcrafted wood medal and one item from the Squatch Shop. Pacers and guide rules are specified; runners over 60 and athletes with disabilities may have a pacer at any time.
