Event Overview
The Spring Trail Trot is a 5k run/walk on trails. The 2026 edition is the second iteration of this event, organized by Michigan Trail Experience. It takes place at Lake Lansing North in Haslett, Michigan.
Course Details
The course is a single 5k loop around Lake Lansing North. The route is described as flat and well-marked, using mostly the blue trail with small modifications. The race starts and finishes near the baseball field.
Participant Information
All entries receive a T-shirt, a sticker, and a finisher patch. Chip timing with live results is provided by the Michigan Running Foundation. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in each age group. The event is pet-friendly.
Logistics
Packet pickup is held race morning at the Sand Hill Shelter, starting at 7:30 AM. Parking is available at Lake Lansing Park-North; there is a vehicle entrance fee ($3 for residents, $5 for non-residents). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
