Spitfire Scramble - Albyns Farm entrance on South End Road, RM13 7YH

The Spitfire Scramble is a 24-hour multi-terrain relay or solo race held on land that includes sections under the custodianship of the London Borough of Havering and parts under the stewardship of Forestry England. Entrants may run solo or in teams of two to eight runners.

Teams complete repeated laps of a circuit; each lap measures 5.75 miles. Each squadron may have a maximum of one runner on the course at any time, and runners must complete a full circuit before handing over to a teammate. The event uses a race bib and timing system.

Entry fees vary. The published range is from £89 to £110, with the first £10 per person allocated to cover the run and the remaining fee covering the race bib and timing system, parking, camping, medical care, site security, and an event T-shirt and medal. Camping is provided free at the Event Village site made available by the London Borough of Havering.

Runners and supporters may arrive from Friday afternoon to set up camp and familiarise themselves with the course. On-site services listed for the event include catering, toilets, hot showers, sports massage service, and first aid. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
