Spitfire Scramble

Hornchurch, United Kingdom • 5-6 Jul 2025

The Spitfire Scramble is London's only 24-hour trail running event, held at Hornchurch Country Park, the former RAF Hornchurch site. Participants can compete solo or in teams of two to eight, aiming to complete as many 5.75-mile laps as possible within 24 hours, from midday Saturday to midday Sunday. The multi-terrain course challenges runners' endurance and teamwork, with only one runner per team on the course at a time. The event offers a vibrant atmosphere with free camping, catering, toilets, hot showers, sports massage, and first aid. It is supported by the London Borough of Havering and Forestry England, providing a unique endurance experience in Greater London. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
