Event format

The Spitfire Scramble is a 24-hour multi-terrain event offered as a solo race or as a relay for teams of two to eight runners. The course includes a lap of 5.75 miles. Teams may have a maximum of one runner on the course at any time, and each runner must complete a full circuit before handing over. The event includes running through the night.

Logistics and entry

Location is Albyns Farm entrance on South End Road, RM13 7YH. Parts of the course lie on land managed by the London Borough of Havering and by Forestry England. Camping at the site is free. The event provides catering, toilets, hot showers, sports massage service, first aid and parking. The entry fee structure states the first £10 per person covers the run itself; the remainder of the fee covers the race bib and timing system, parking, camping, medical care, site security, and an event T-shirt and medal supplied at the Event Village. Entry prices listed are £85 for the team option and £105 for the solo option. The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over on 11/07/2026.
