Spillway Classic Trail Run (39th annual)
The Spillway Classic Trail Run takes place on Sunday July 12, 2026, at the Bonnet Carré Spillway Boat Launch in Norco, Louisiana. The primary event is a 3 mile off road trail run known as The Gauntlet that follows natural trails through the evolving ecosystem of the spillway.
The course is unpaved and moves with the natural terrain. Participants should expect variable surface conditions and possible muddy or wet sections that depend on recent weather. The event notes potential elevation changes and asks participants to use caution while on the trails.
The event is open to runners and walkers of all paces and includes options for general registration and a New Orleans Track Club family membership entry. NOTC members receive a registration discount. Registered participants receive post race refreshments, which have included beer from Crescent Crown Distributing and food items from vendors such as Elmer's Chee-Wees, Baker Maid, Jambalaya Girl, Alexander's Meals, Mahatma rice, and Kentwood Springs.
