Whitewater Trail Challenge
The Whitewater Trail Challenge is a Spartan Trail event held at the Rice Lake Nature Trail area in Whitewater, Wisconsin, using Lot 1 and Lot 2 near 221 North Prince Street. The course follows a scenic segment of the Ice Age Trail, a 1,200 mile footpath that crosses Wisconsin and is one of eleven National Scenic Trails.
The event uses an out and back route from Rice Lake that covers a small section of the Ice Age Trail. Trail surfaces vary along this route, ranging from smooth and well maintained to extremely technical, and the footing can change quickly because the Ice Age Trail is made from connected segments.
Race distances offered for the event are:
- Trail 50K
- Trail Half Marathon
- Trail 10K
Organizer materials reference race day documents, arrival guidance, volunteer opportunities, and options for teams and lodging.
