Kettle Moraine takes place June 13-14, 2026 in LaGrange, Wisconsin, at N9084 County Road H. Distances offered include:

  • 100M Relay
  • 50K
  • 38 Miler

The course is run almost entirely on trail with a few road crossings. About 65 miles of the course use the Ice Age Trail. The event began in 1996 and serves as a Western States qualifying race.

Logistics and policies

Lottery registration opens December 1, 2025. General registration opens January 1 at 11:00 am Central time. A waitlist is used when registration fills and organizers invite people off the waitlist as spots open; invitees may accept or decline.

Runners are asked to perform 8 hour of volunteer work within their local community as an honor system requirement. Every vehicle at the event must display a Wisconsin IDNR parking sticker; the race entry includes a parking pass to be picked up at packet pickup on Friday. The event is run with a no refunds and no transfers policy. Rollover and race credit options are offered with deadlines and some entries may be converted to event credit or require volunteer shifts according to the organizer’s stated policies. Run the peaceful Glacial Drumlin State Trail at the Quiet Silence 50k in Lake Mills, WI, with 50k and 25k routes on crushed gravel. This timed race awards top finishers and asks runners to keep quiet for nearby neighborhoods.

Take on the Whitewalker Ultra 100k in Palmyra WI, a two loop 100k over scenic Ice Age Trail and Scuppernong trails. Expect rugged single track, aid stations on course, and a 24 hour finish limit for a true winter challenge.

The Wisconsin Trail Series will take place in Oconomowoc on Saturday 11 April 2026. You can run between 5 and 10 kilometers.
