Feel The Burn 2026

Feel The Burn 2026 is a fundraising trail run and walk held at Lapham Peak State Forest in Delafield, Wisconsin on July 11, 2026. The course runs on grass hiking and mountain bike trails through prairie areas on the west side of County Road C. The prairie is actively managed and requires periodic burns; this event serves as a major fundraiser for that prairie management.

There are separate run and walk categories for adults, 13–19 year olds, and children 12 and under. The first 100 participants will receive a short sleeve t-shirt, and awards will be given to run winners. Day-of registration is available at the new Lapham Lodge in the Evergreen parking lot. Participants should pick up awards in the Lodge shortly after finishing or when results are posted.

Park merchandise and prairie plant seeds will be available for purchase, and a food truck is planned for the event. A Wisconsin State Park sticker or a $10 special event fee is required for participation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
