SPACEROCK Trail Race
The SPACEROCK Trail Race takes place on October 17, 2026 at Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park in Agua Dulce, California. The event offers multiple looped trail distances and uses the park's rock formations and canyons as the race setting.
Course surfaces include packed dirt, sandy creek beds, rocks, boulders, and single-track trails that run along sections of the Pacific Crest Trail. Available distances are listed below.
- Half Marathon plus, approximately 13.9 miles with over 3200 feet of elevation gain and descent
- 15K, listed as 14.3 kilometers with a large mountain climb and extensive single-track
- 10K
- 5K
A notable course feature is the black hole tunnel, a dark tunnel section of more than 500 feet that is part of the 15K and Half Marathon plus routes. Each course forms a full loop.
On-course support includes five aid stations positioned along the routes. Depending on distance, runners encounter two to six stations supplying water, electrolytes from the hydration sponsor, gels, chews, salt capsules, sweets, and snacks. The event has a cupless policy at aid stations to reduce waste; runners are asked to carry a collapsible cup, water bottle, or hydration pack.
Participant items and services include a collectible finisher medal, official shirt, space bag, finisher certificate, finish line water and food, free race photos, podium awards, and a legacy gift for returning runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
