South West Spartan Event Weekend

The South West Spartan event takes place at the Badminton Estate in South Gloucestershire. This venue is situated within the historic Badminton Park and includes a variety of terrain such as adjacent fields and woodland. While the course is described as one of the flatter venues in the series, the route incorporates several small hills throughout the countryside.

Participants can choose from several obstacle course race distances:

  • Sprint 5K: Includes 20 obstacles with an average duration of approximately 1 hour and 32 minutes.
  • Super 10K: Features a total of 25 obstacles across the course.
  • Beast 21K: A half marathon distance containing 30 obstacles.
  • Kids Race: A dedicated event held on Sunday for younger participants.

The event structure allows for the completion of a trifecta in a single day due to the flat and fast nature of the terrain. The race weekend also accommodates spectators, with specific tickets available for those wishing to view the event. The course layout is designed to utilize the natural landscape of the Gloucestershire countryside for all participating categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
