Course and logistics
- 8.6 Miler
The route goes from the Palisades Creek Trailhead to Lower Palisades Lake and back, roughly 4.3 miles each way with about 1,000 feet of snowy elevation gain. The course is on snowy trails and passes a mountain lake; moose may be present. There are no guaranteed aid stations and no race prizes or free shirts. A post-run potluck is planned; registered participants are asked to bring a soup, bread, dessert, or side dish and to sign up for items. Generators may be available to warm food. Trailhead parking is limited, so carpooling is recommended. Participants must bring their own utensils, bowls, mugs, spoons, and camp chairs. An outhouse exists at the trailhead if open; bring toilet paper. Organizers describe the event as a group run rather than a competitive race.
