Course and logistics

The new 2026 Half Marathon is a trail course that begins and finishes at Reddington Rock Riding Club. The route uses dirt roads, single track, and the blue-blazed Shenipsit Trail, climbs over Soapstone Mountain and passes the fire tower twice. The Half Marathon has three aid stations; the 6K has no aid. The event is cupless, so participants should carry their own water container. The shorter 6K follows single track and dirt roads, includes a section of the White Blaze, and allows walkers and hikers.

Spectators may bring chairs, children, and picnics. Post-race food and drinks are provided. The event is part of the 2026 Blue Blazed Trail Running Series and supports Connecticut trail stewardship programs. Aid station volunteers will record bib numbers to help account for participants.
