Run for RMC
Run for RMC is a community event organized to raise awareness of renal medullary carcinoma (RMC) and to support related programs in memory of the person honored by the event. The event combines remembrance, education, and advocacy while bringing people together in a public park setting.
The event takes place at Stanley Park in Westfield, MA on Sunday, June 7, 2026, and is hosted by the Tactical Tone Memorial Foundation. Registration is open. All proceeds support RMC awareness and programs connected to the foundation's mission.
Participants can choose between two course options:
- 5K Trail Run/Walk - scenic route through the trails of Stanley Park.
- 1-Mile Accessible Route - an accessible one mile route suitable for strollers and young children.
Renal medullary carcinoma is described as a rare and aggressive kidney cancer that often affects adolescents and young adults and is closely associated with sickle cell trait. The event frames awareness as a means to help families and communities better understand the disease and the need for support and research. The format includes running and walking options and an accessible route to encourage broad community participation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
