Snowy Soles is a 6.5K snowshoe race held at Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area near Brighton, ON. The event is part of the Dion Snowshoe Racing series and uses a single loop course. The route includes varied terrain with ups and downs and passes through pine groves.
If there is no snow but conditions are safe and not too icy, the event may proceed as a trail run without snowshoes. Registration included a post race chili lunch with vegetarian options, a Snowy Soles touque with a new color each year, and entry into prize draws that include a pair of Dion Snowshoes.
Kit pick up is conducted inside the Goodrich Loomis Center Facility. Prizes and awards are presented afterward inside the same facility, where refreshments are available to warm up.
A GPX file of the course is available for download and can be imported into Garmin Connect. Apple Watch users can use WorkOutDoors, Komoot, or Strava.
