Rules and Equipment

Participants are asked not to use headphones, or to keep the volume low to hear others. Poles are permitted. The event is cup-less: runners must bring their own container for refilling at aid stations.

For the 50 km, there is a hard cutoff time of 5:00 PM. Runners are required to have a headlamp after 3:00 PM. Those not on their final loop by 3:45 PM will not be allowed to finish it. Pacers are allowed on the final loop only.

On-Course Services

Three aid stations are located on the course, stocked with water, electrolyte drink, and snacks. Portable toilets are available at the start/finish area. First aid services are provided on-site.

There is main parking at Batawa Ski Hill and overflow parking at the Batawa Community Centre.

Awards and Swag

No participant medals are awarded. Medals are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. All children in the Big Bum Kids' Run receive a participant ribbon.

Event t-shirts are available for pre-order. Bad Ass 6 Hour participants receive exclusive swag included with their entry. Various Dirty Soles merchandise will be available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
