About the race
The Boomerang Trail Run is a timed loop trail event at Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area in Brighton, ON. Participants run repeated laps of a loop that measures just over 7 km, choosing from three time-based options.
Distances/options:
- 6 hour option
- 4 hour option
- 2 hour option
The course includes hills, rocks, roots, sticks, mud and insects. Trail width varies from double-track to single-file sections; course markings are provided but there are no mile markers. The aid station is located approximately halfway through the loop and offers water, Tailwind and standard aid station supplies. The event is cup-less; volunteers will refill hydration packs, water bottles or handhelds.
Timing requires check-in at the timing table at the start and end of each loop; results will be emailed within 48 hours. There is space at the start/finish for drop bags, chairs or coolers. A porta potty will be on site; there are no changing rooms.
No refunds or deferrals are issued. Entrants may transfer their spot to another person but no changes are allowed after October 15, 2027. Registration closes October 21, 2027. Registrants will receive a race shirt and a participant medal; registrants who sign up after September 27 may not receive a shirt. The event is organized by Dirty Soles.
