Snowy Soles Snowshoe Race
This snowshoe race is scheduled for January 23, 2027. The event features a 6.5 km course held on the trails of Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area.
Location details are provided as Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area, 1331 Pinewood School Road, Castleton, ON K0K 1M0, about 11 km north of Brighton off Highway 30 at Orland.
An indoor facility is available for registration and awards. A limited number of Dion snowshoes are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis; rentals are offered for a fee of $10 and must be reserved at registration. In the unlikely event of no snow, and if conditions allow safe running (not too icy), the event may proceed as a trail run without snowshoes.
A customized race souvenir is available to those who preregister, while supplies last. Post-run awards include merchandise for the first place male and female overall; all participants are eligible for draw prizes, including a pair of Dion snowshoes.
Points will be awarded for each race in the Dion Canadian Snowshoe Series, with series champions crowned at the final event. Registration is listed as coming soon. Race results will be posted on the event results page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
