Slow and Tired's Bad Idea

Slow and Tired's Bad Idea is a trail event held in Enoree, SC at 210 Service Dr and presented by G.O.A.T. Trail Running. The course is a simple 5K trail loop that is run repeatedly throughout the day. Every 50 minutes the loop starts again, giving participants up to ten opportunities to run the loop.

Participants may choose how many laps to run. Runners can stop after one lap, return for additional laps, or run all ten. There are no eliminations and no official podium focus. Missing a lap does not prevent rejoining later; the format allows rest and regrouping between loops.

The event emphasizes repeated decisions to continue rather than a single fastest time. It frames the challenge as completing laps by choice and testing endurance through multiple starts. The schedule includes repeated 5K loops at 50 minute intervals for a total of ten chances.

Registration for the event closes on Fri, Jul 10 at 11:59 PM ET. The organizer describes the overall atmosphere as social and informal, with an emphasis on personal challenge and recurring effort rather than direct competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
