Skyline Ridge Trail Run

The event takes place in La Honda, California, on March 7, 2026. It is a fundraiser for the Bay Area Ridge Trail organization, with 100% of entry fees going to support its mission.

Three distances are offered: a 10K, a 21K (Half Marathon), and a 50K. Hikers are welcome to join the 10K and 21K courses, while the 50K is for runners only.

The courses travel through Skyline Ridge and Russian Ridge Open Space Preserves in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The trails vary from narrow paths to wide roads, with surfaces ranging from soft forest duff to firm, bare grasslands. Runners can expect open vistas, moist evergreen forests, oak woodlands, and high grasslands. Conditions can include wind and fog on exposed ridgetops and heat on south- and west-facing slopes.

Aid stations are provided, stocked with water, sports drink, fresh fruit, sandwiches, soda, and gels. The finish area offers hot food for finishers. The course is marked with pink ribbons and red flags, with incorrect routes marked with blue ribbons.

All runners receive a Bay Area Ridge Trail logo duffel bag. Specific cutoff times are enforced for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
