Skipwith Regional : Sunday 9 November

The event takes place at Skipwith common. Parking is on Dunelm Farm land at the far end of King Rudding Lane; the provisional postcode is YO19 6QL. Portable toilets will be available at the car park. A small donation of £2 will be requested on arrival to support the landowner and car sharing will be encouraged. First aid is available at Registration. Results will be posted on the club website after the event.

The terrain is complex common land with trees, marsh, heathland vegetation and remains of old WW2 bunkers. It is generally runnable forest and moorland with few forest paths and rides. The area contains fenced enclosures, grazing ponies and cattle, and a small SSI area that is out of bounds and marked on the map. Competitors are warned about ticks and Lyme disease. All competitors must report to Download even if retiring. Lone competitors should leave car keys at Enquiries / Download. Full-leg cover, suitable footwear and a whistle are required; in adverse weather a waterproof top may be required. The map is 1:10,000 with 5 m contours.
