Its Grim Up North Running’s Swinsty & Fewston Reservoir Autumn Day 2 offers a choice of distances from a 6.6/6.7-mile loop around Fewston and Swinsty reservoirs to a half marathon, 20-miler, and marathon. Based at the Swinsty/Fewston Reservoir Car Park in Otley, the course is a mainly off-road, undulating trail set against autumn-coloured copper leaves and tranquil water. Runners benefit a marshalled and signed route, feed stations about every three miles, a bespoke medal, and finishers’ treats, with a cup-less policy and headphones restrictions (bone-conduction allowed). Registration and parking are in the car park area; transfers/deferrals are managed online. The event is licenced by the Trail Running Association.
