Six Foot Track Marathon

The Six Foot Track Marathon follows the full length of the Six Foot Track, a 45 km trail across the Blue Mountains from the Explorer's Marked Tree near Katoomba to the Jenolan Caves. The event has run since 1984 and uses the established walking track as its course.

The race is organised as a not for profit event. All profits are donated to the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service, which provides volunteer firefighters at the aid stations on race day. Each year the event records over 1,100 entrants completing the course on race day.

Race administration includes entry categories such as preferred entry, lottery entry and deferred entry from the previous year. The event does not operate a wait list and entries may not be sold or transferred in accordance with race rules. Race partners and sponsors named for the event include Sydney Striders, the RFS, Tailwind Nutrition, Blue Mountains Running Co., and Camelbak.

Course information such as maps and elevation profiles is maintained alongside logistics for registration, aid stations, shuttle buses, parking and finish line arrangements. The event maintains a historical results archive including previous winners, course records and age group records. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
