Hounslow Classic : event overview

The Hounslow Classic is a weekend trail running event organised by SingleTrack Events in the Blue Mountains around Blackheath, NSW. The event takes place in the Grose Valley Wilderness and finishes at an event village located at Allview Escape, 415-419 Hat Hill Rd, Blackheath NSW 2785. The course runs on sandstone cliff tops, canyon trails and rocky peaks within the Grose Valley, and includes steep and technical terrain with significant climbs and descents. Festival activities and race services, such as registration, food vendors, a bar and podium presentations, take place across the weekend.

The Hounslow 17k follows a scenic cliff-top trail between Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout and traverses sections of the Grand Canyon track. The Hounslow Marathon covers the same section as the 17k and extends with an out-and-back route from Allview Escape to the Pinnacles via Perrys Lookdown and Lockleys Pylon. A separate kids race is also listed as part of the weekend schedule. The event is held on land within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples; the organisers acknowledge traditional owners and their connection to the area.
