The Hounslow Classic is a weekend trail running event held in the Blue Mountains region within the Grose Valley Wilderness. The event is run over a weekend in September and is organised as multiple trail races and stage options. There is an event village at Allview Escape, 415-419 Hat Hill Rd, Blackheath NSW 2785.

  • 17 km Hounslow 17k There is also an option to enter both races as a combined stage event called the Hounslow Monster Stage race. A separate kids race is listed in the event programme.

Location and course features

Races use cliff-top trails and canyon tracks around Blackheath, including the Grand Canyon loop. The marathon includes an out-and-back section from Allview Escape to the Pinnacles via Perrys Lookdown and Lockleys Pylon. Join a guided Blue Mountains stair training run in Katoomba on Feb 1, 2026, with routes from 11 to 25 km and pace groups for all abilities. Licensed trainers lead safe park sessions and provide pre run maps and gear guidance.
