Silent Pool 10km

This is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Silent Pool in Albury, Surrey. The route uses a variety of local trails, including sections of the North Downs Way and the forest of Netley Heath, and descends into the village of Shere where runners pass film locations from "The Holiday" and "Bridget Jones Diary". The site around Silent Pool is noted in local lore and has historical associations; it is also home to the Silent Pool Gin Distillery.

The route includes wide trails suitable for group running and narrower single track sections. Distance for the event is 10 km.

The run is led by an experienced ultra runner who also works as a running coach and is a Salomon ambassador. It is not a race and the group will run together; participants should be able to maintain an average pace of 10 min/miles | 6 min/km on trails for prolonged periods.

A full kit list will be provided before the event. Silva head torches and Salomon trail shoes may be available to try on the run, and Silva torches are offered for trial through a partnership. Silent Pool is described as easily accessed by car, just outside Guildford. Organisers will send further information a few days before each event. An alcohol free beer may be offered at the end of the run subject to availability. If a run is cancelled by the organiser due to COVID-19, attendees will be offered a refund or a transfer to a later event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
