Silent Pool 10km

The event is a guided trail run of 10 km that starts and finishes at Silent Pool Car Park, Albury, Guildford. The route uses sections of the North Downs Way, passes through the forest of Netley Heath, and drops down to the village of Shere, including several film locations.

The course combines wider trails suitable for group running and single track sections. Runs take place at dusk in the lighter months as sunset runs, and in darker months as night runs using headtorches in a group environment. A full kit list is provided in advance. Silva headtorches are available to trial and Salomon trail shoes may be available for testing if participants state sizes during registration.

The run is led by an experienced trail and ultra runner who is a running coach and Salomon ambassador; the leader manages navigation and route planning for the group. Participants should be able to sustain an average pace of about 10 min per mile | 6 min per km on trail for prolonged periods and have a suitable level of fitness.

Practical details provided by the organiser include a car park at Silent Pool and that the venue is easily accessed by car just outside Guildford. An alcohol free beer may be offered at the end of the run subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
