The Show Me Your Free State Marathon & Ultra is a multi-distance running event held at Rosecrans Memorial Airport in St. Joseph, Missouri on October 24, 2026. The event offers these distances:

Races use a 25-mile loop that begins and ends near the airport. The loop crosses a historic stretch of Missouri and Kansas, follows the Missouri River bank, traverses the Gladden Bottoms, and skirts the Loess Hills. Each loop has about 138 feet of elevation gain. Surface types include roughly 10 miles of paved road with the remainder on gravel or crushed limestone levee trail. The route crosses US Highway 36; crossings are monitored by volunteers. Turns are marked with yellow paint and signs, with directional arrows and mile markers every 5 miles.
Manned aid stations are located at Start–Finish, Children of the Corn, Wathena, and Roseport Landing and provide water, sports drink, salty snacks, fruit, sweets, and warm food or hot drinks after sunset. Unmanned stations offer water and limited snacks. First-aid supplies are available at stations. Drop-bag rules apply to 50- and 100-mile runners and require drop-off during packet pickup. Crews may meet runners only at specified locations; crew vehicles are not allowed on unpaved roads. Pacers are permitted for 50- and 100-mile runners after the first lap and must follow event pacer rules. An early-start option requires donation of pet food and carries no aid availability on the first lap.
