Sherman Lake YMCA Kids ROAR

Sherman Lake YMCA Kids ROAR is an obstacle adventure race held at Sherman Lake YMCA, 6225 N. 39th Street, Augusta, MI 49012. The event offers course options of one mile and two miles and is designed for children ages 5 to 14. Children ages 5 to 7 must be accompanied by a parent.

Course features described for the event include mud pits, water, color, obstacles, and monkey bars. There is an adult registration option for participants age 15 and over; the adult registration fee includes the official Kids ROAR t-shirt. Families with three or more children in the same household receive a five dollar discount per child on registration.

Post-race activities include games and refreshments. Registration fees are non refundable. The event is planned to run rain or shine, but it may be delayed or canceled for threatening weather conditions such as tornado warnings or watches, thunderstorms, heavy rain, or other major weather risks. The Race Director has authority to delay or cancel the event. If the event is canceled, organizers will notify participants by email and post cancellation notices on the event website and on Facebook. Participants who registered prior to the t-shirt deadline will still receive their t-shirt and information about pickup if the event is canceled.
