Mattawan Wildcat Road & Trail 5K
The Wildcat Road & Trail 5K returns for its 16th year on August 1, 2026. The race takes place on the Mattawan campus in Mattawan, Michigan, at 57400 Western St, Mattawan, MI 49071.
Ongoing construction around the stadium and athletic facilities has changed the course layout for this edition. Organizers lost access to a large portion of the traditional trail sections but have incorporated select grass and trail style areas throughout the route. Participants should expect more paved roads and campus pathways than in previous years, and a loop in the middle of the race around Mattawan’s newly developed track and stadium complex.
The current course plan has received preliminary approval, though minor adjustments may still occur as construction continues through the summer. A finalized course map will be posted closer to race day.
Registration opens April 30, 2026 and closes August 1, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00.
Food and drinks will be available following the race. Dogs are not allowed on the course. The event will be held rain or shine, though delays or cancellations may occur in the case of dangerous weather. No refunds will be issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
