Event

The She ROCKS Run takes place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Long Leaf Park in Wilmington, NC. The event was created by a local teen to honor her mother, who died of ovarian cancer, and to raise funds and awareness for ovarian cancer research. Awards are given for top finishers in the 5K, masters categories (ages 40+), and age groups; there is also an award for the largest team.

The start and finish are at Long Leaf Park - Shelter #6, 314 Pine Grove Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409. The 5K course is entirely inside Long Leaf Park, marked, open, and mostly flat, following the park walking path with views of ponds, trees, and flowers. Volunteer crossing guards will be at select intersections. The course is stroller friendly. Parking is available in open parking spots at the park.

Registering before August 19, 2025 guarantees a She ROCKS Run shirt; registrations after August 20 receive shirts while supplies last. Registration is available online before the race, at packet pickup, or on race morning using a provided QR code.
