Copperhead Beer Relay 20k

Hampstead, United States • 23 Aug 2025

The Twin Anchors Copperhead Beer Relay 20K and Beer Mile is a unique running event held in Hampstead, North Carolina, at the scenic Briar Patch Hunting property near Poplar Grove Plantation. Participants can compete individually or in teams of 2 to 4, running four 5K loops to complete the 20K distance. A distinctive feature allows runners aged 21 and over to drink a 12-ounce beer or chocolate milk before each lap, earning a 2-minute deduction from their lap time. The event also includes a Beer Mile challenge and a combined "Double Copperhead Trouble" race. Age-graded results and a fun, adventurous atmosphere through wooded terrain make this race a memorable experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
