SRT - Shawangunk Ridge Trail Run takes place in Rosendale, New York on Sep 12, 2026. The event is offered in three distances:

• 70 Miler
• 30 Miler
• 1/2 Marathon

Each division has a different start location: the 70-mile division starts near High Point Monument (High Point State Park, NJ), the 30-mile division starts at Sam's Point Preserve Visitors Center, and the half marathon starts at the Peter's Kill area in Minnewaska State Park. Shuttle buses transport participants from Rosendale parking areas to the start locations. Registration closes Sep 6.

Course, rules and services

The course follows the Shawangunk Ridge Trail, a 70-mile ridgeline trail that passes rolling hills, wetlands, dwarf pine barrens, sky lakes, waterfalls, and white conglomerate cliffs. The trail is rugged in places with rocky footing, squeezes, and scrambles. The route is well blazed but will have no supplemental markings.

The event is unsupported: participants must carry their own food and a water filter or other purification. No pacers, support crews, drop bags, or resupply caches are allowed. There are numbered checkpoints with time cutoffs and organizers may hold or release runners at certain checkpoints. Registered participants receive event tech t-shirts (limited after Aug 1), finishers medals, a barefoot badge option, and 70-mile completion certificates; ceremonial tomahawks are awarded to division winners. No refunds, deferrals, or transfers are offered. Optional donations support trail stewardship and local search and rescue organizations.
