Gardiner Dump Run

The Gardiner Dump Run is organized by the Gardiner Parks and Recreation Committee in partnership with the Gardiner Trail Alliance. The event features two primary running distances held at Gardiner’s Riverbend Trails:

  • 5k trail run
  • 10k trail run (consisting of two laps of the course)

Participants navigate single-track trails that pass through wooded hillsides located near the Wallkill River and along untamed fields. The course serves as a natural setting for trail running, utilizing the local landscape of Gardiner, New York. Volunteers provide assistance with parking on the day of the event to facilitate access for participants arriving at Steve's Lane.

Registration is available in advance, and participants who register by September 8th receive a unique event T-shirt. Same-day registration is also permitted, though it is limited to cash or check payments only.

Attendees are encouraged to participate in an athletic sneaker recycling program. Each pair of athletic sneakers donated during the event earns the donor a coupon. Before the races begin, a mandatory runner's meeting takes place at the starting line to provide final instructions for all competitors.
