The ORC/Ashokan Rail Trail 8 Miler

The event is an 8 miles run held entirely on a well-groomed unpaved carriage path that parallels the Ashokan Reservoir in Ulster County. The course starts and finishes at the Woodstock Dike Trailhead of the Ashokan Rail Trail in West Hurley, NY.

Participation is limited to 100 entrants and parking is free but limited; carpooling is recommended. The event is race number 6 of the ORC 2026 Grand Prix and is open to everyone. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Woodstock Land Conservancy.

Awards are given to the first man and woman overall and to the top three finishers in all standard age groups. A commemorative item will be provided to the first 100 registrants.

The Woodstock Land Conservancy is a nonprofit organization committed to the protection and preservation of open lands, forests, water resources, scenic areas and historic sites in Woodstock and the surrounding area.
