Seward Sizzler Trail Run

Seward Sizzler is a trail run held at Seward Park in Seattle on July 7, 2026. The event offers loop course options and takes place on a peninsula surrounded by Lake Washington, within an area of more than 100 acres of old growth forest near the city center.

Distances

  • 4.2 mile
  • 10k

The loop route is almost entirely in the forest and travels on a mix of wide main trails and smaller singletrack. The main trail is flat to rolling before dipping downhill toward the peninsula tip. A return segment includes twisty turns, small fallen trees, roots, and other surface bumps that require attention and short slowdowns before the trail widens again.

There is an aid station adjacent to the start and finish area; 4.2 mile runners pass it once and 10k runners pass it twice. Aid station offerings include water, electrolyte drink, and a variety of carbohydrate or salty foods.

The event is part of a Tuesday night series and participates in the PNW Youth Trail Project, with youth able to score points in an associated three-race series. The start and finish are located near a parking lot at the top of the hill in the park. After the run there are food options such as hot dogs and watermelon, awards for top finishers in categories, and a raffle. Event apparel is available for purchase at stated prices.
