Seward Sizzler Trail Run
Seward Sizzler is a trail event on July 7, 2026, at Seward Park in Seattle, Washington, on a peninsula surrounded by Lake Washington. The route is a loop that stays almost entirely in old growth forest with Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, and other native plants.
The event offers these distances:
- 4.2 mile
- 10k
The loop begins on a wide main trail that is generally flat to rolling before dipping downhill toward the tip of the peninsula. The return follows smaller trails on the west side with a several-hundred-meter twisty section featuring small fallen trees, roots, and other bumps. The trail widens and straightens toward the end of the loop.
An aid station located next to the start and finish provides water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and various carbohydrate or salty snacks. Four-point-two mile runners pass the aid station once; 10k runners pass it twice.
The run is part of the Tuesday Night Trail to Grill Series and is included in the PNW Youth Trail Project series of races. Youth runners under age 20 are eligible for a discount on online pre-registration prices. Trails remain open to other users during the event, participants are responsible for their own safety, and USATF policy forbids running with dogs on course.
