Event Overview

The Sevenoaks 7 is a multi-terrain running event held in the landscapes of Knole Park in Kent. Organized by Sevenoaks Athletics Club, the event features a course with hills, twists, and climbs through parkland and woodland. The race is open to affiliated club runners, teams of family or colleagues, and unaffiliated individual participants.

The event offers the following distances:

  • 7 miles: Open to entrants aged 17 and over, featuring a hilly trail route.
  • 3.5 km: A chip-timed Junior Run for participants aged 9 to 15 years.

The 3.5 km Junior Run is free to enter and follows a section of the main race route. The course for the junior category primarily uses tarmac paths, with approximately 1 km of the distance taking place on woodland tracks.

Participant Information

Race Headquarters is located at Sevenoaks Rugby Club, where facilities are available for participants. The start and finish lines are situated at the south east corner of Knole House, which is approximately a one-mile distance from the Race Headquarters.

Participants receive a bespoke medal and access to free digital race photographs. Trophies and prizes are awarded to leading runners in the main race, and trophies are provided for the top boys and girls in the junior category. Cash prizes are also available for runners who break the current or all-time course records.

Profits from the event are donated to The Running Charity to support young people at risk of homelessness. Parking is available at Sevenoaks Rugby Club for approximately 75 cars, with additional overflow parking located at the Buckhurst Car Park.
