Sea of Galilee Prayer Run

The Sea of Galilee Prayer Run is a free multi-lap group run around the trail at Old Camp Cosby Lake in Clay, AL, organized through the Trecho Walk Jog Run group at FBCTrussville. The event takes place on the lake trail and is open for participants to complete two laps or as many laps as they choose.

One lap measures 1.55 miles. The event begins with a five minute devotional and a short prayer, after which the group starts together. The route will be marked with arrows and there will be multiple water stations along the course. A clock will be present for reference, but there is no official race timing.

The run includes ten prayer stations with specific prayer prompts focused on people in and around the Sea of Galilee. This is a sign in event and no formal registration is required, though organizers note that registering can assist with planning. The lake site is the former center of YMCA Camp Cosby and remains a 26 acre public park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
