Scilly60% – The Marathon
Scilly60% is a 42 km multi-island trail marathon that runs across the Isles of Scilly, linking the offshore islands with a final stage on St Marys. The route includes full circumnavigations of St Martin’s, Tresco, Bryher and St Agnes, followed by a roughly 5 km finish on St Marys. The course runs along coastal paths and varied terrain; normal trail running shoes are recommended over pure road or overly aggressive fell soles.
The event uses professionally marked routes and tidal-aware ferry transitions between islands. Cut-off times are set to a pace of 8:30 min per kilometre, and the race is organised as a self-sufficient challenge: participants must carry their own supplies and start with at least 3 litres of water. There are no energy stations en route, but first aid cover is located at start and finish points on each island and toilets are available on every quay.
Support is provided throughout the day and transfers use event boats. Entry is limited to 150 participants. The race takes place during the Scilly60 weekend, scheduled for 12 to 17 June 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
