Savannah Ultra Urban 50K Run : November 28, 2026

The Savannah Ultra Urban 50k is a free, self supported city run covering 50 kilometers in Savannah, Georgia. The event is capped at 25 runners and registration opens May 1, 2026. Entry requires a short written answer explaining why the applicant wants to run a free 50k through Savannah; the first twenty-five responses submitted by email will be admitted from the waitlist and some answers will be posted on the organizer's blog.

The course begins and ends at the Waving Girl statue on Riverfront Savannah and is changed each year to highlight different parts of the city. Runners move through urban streets where some sections are busy; participants are asked to be attentive, use sidewalks when available, run against traffic, and watch out for one another. The route passes grocery and convenience stores but runners should carry enough fluids, gels, and supplies for the 50 kilometer distance.

The event is organized as a group-friendly, self supported urban run. Each finisher receives a custom made tile art piece that features a Savannah token. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
