Saturn Running - Midweek Chasing Numbers (Oct 2026)

Saturn Running stages a midweek Chasing Numbers event at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club on the River Thames. The event is a seven hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose their distance; the minimum distance to be classed as a finisher is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The lap includes 3k and 5k turn points to support UK Athletics age restrictions.

Distances available:

  • 3 km minimum finisher distance
  • 5 km and 10 km
  • Half Marathon (three laps)
  • Marathon (six laps)
  • 50 km and Ultra Marathon
  • Seven hour Time Challenge option

The course is fully signed and runs along a stretch of the River Thames. Approximately 60% is on well-made path or tarmac and the remainder is grass and light trail, which can get muddy at times. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be used for extra grip. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules; members of UK Athletics affiliated clubs receive a £2 entry discount. Organiser members receive the lowest entry price, guaranteed entry and a mini-me medal pin at events.

Finishers completing at least 3 km receive a medal; distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer and are attached to the medal ribbon. A goody bag is provided with a vegan option. Toilets and a cafe are available at race HQ and an unmanned bag drop is provided. An aid table with food and drinks is provided at the start/finish of each lap. Final race instructions are sent by email before the event and race numbers are collected at on-site registration. Headphones are allowed and participants should be considerate of other public footpath users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
