Midweek Chasing Numbers Aug 2026

This is a seven hour time challenge held by Saturn Running at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Staines. The event runs on a fully signed loop along a stretch of the River Thames and allows participants to choose how many laps to complete within the allotted time.

The course surface is mixed: about 60% on well-made path or tarmac and the remainder on grass and light trail, which can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be preferred for grip on softer sections. The regular route may be altered after a health and safety review or land owner approval.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Members receive the lowest entry price, guaranteed entry and a mini-me medal pin; members of UK Athletics affiliated clubs receive a £2.00 discount.

Finishers receive a medal for completing at least 3 km. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above; available pins include Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers also receive a goody bag with a vegan option.

An aid and drinks table is available at the start and finish of each lap with a mix of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Toilets are provided at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines. A bag drop is provided but is not secure. Headphones are allowed. Runners should be considerate of other public footpath users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
