Event overview
The Remembrance Day Run in Durham is organised by Saturn Running and the next scheduled race is on 09/11/2025. The event is a Time Challenge lasting 6 hours 32 minutes, during which participants choose how many laps to run. A two-minute silence will form part of the event; two minutes are deducted from a runner's recorded time. The event medal is currently sold out; entries after 24 October receive a pick-and-mix medal. Remembrance pins are available for an additional £3 donation. A reduced entry price of £17.00 is available only to members; membership must be purchased through the organiser's membership schemes. Final race instructions are sent by email in the week before the event and race numbers are collected at registration on the day.
Course, distances and facilities
The course is a fully signed trail along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. The lap length is described as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The course includes a 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point to support UK Athletics distance rules for younger runners.

Toilets are at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, which also has a bar and showers. There is a pay-and-display carpark nearby and some free parking in nearby streets. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is offered. Headphones are allowed. A non-secure bag drop is available at the start/finish. Runners celebrating milestone events can receive a special running number showing name and date.
