SATURN Remembrance Run 2026 North East : Durham
This is a timed running event held at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. The event uses a signed trail loop along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. Runners may choose how many laps to complete within the time limit.
The format is a 6 hour 32 minute time challenge with a minimum official finishing distance of 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be adjusted to a shorter loop depending on course conditions. The course includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to allow younger runners to meet age rules. Typical lap counts given are three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon, seven or more for an ultra, and a 50 km option is available.
Facilities and services include medals for finishers who complete at least 3 km, distance pins for half marathon distance or longer, a goody bag with a vegan option, and an aid table with drinks and snacks including vegan choices. Toilets, changing facilities, a bar and showers are located at the rowing club. There is nearby on street parking or pay and display city centre parking.
Minimum age is 12 years. Runners over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km.
