Saturn - Remembrance Run - North

SATURN - Remembrance Run 2026 - North East (Durham City)

This is a timed challenge event of 6 hours and 32 minutes that gives participants control over how far they run. The event is based at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU and takes place along a trail beside the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. The course is fully signed and does not require navigational experience.

Distances and lap structure:

• Minimum distance: 3 km (part of a lap)
• Full lap: 7 km (4.37 miles); may change to a 3.28-mile loop
• Half marathon: 3 laps
• Marathon: 6 laps
• Ultra: 7 laps or more
• 50 km distance available

A two-minute silence will be observed during the event and the two minutes will be deducted from running times. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Remembrance medal; distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer achievements. Finishers also receive a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag option available.

On-course support includes an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap offering drinks and assorted snacks, including vegan options. Toilets, a bar and showers are located at the rowing club for participant use. Number pick-up is on the day at registration. Headphones are allowed. Entry limits and conditions: maximum 500 entrants, minimum age 12 years, and age restrictions apply for distances over 45 km. There is nearby free on-street or pay-and-display city parking.
