Event Format

This is a 7-hour timed running challenge. Participants choose their own distance by completing laps. The minimum distance is 3 km. A full lap is approximately 7 km (subject to change to 3.28 miles depending on course conditions). Participants can run as few or as many laps as they wish within the 7-hour window. Three laps equal a half marathon, six laps a marathon, and seven or more an ultra marathon. A 50 km distance is also an option.

Course

The route is along the River Thames. The course is fully signed, requiring no navigation. The surface is mainly well-made paths and tarmac, with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable year-round. The course is flat. It is subject to a final safety review and approval.

Facilities and Amenities

Participants receive a medal upon completing the minimum 3 km distance. All finishers get a goody bag, with a vegan option available. Distance pins for half marathon and longer are awarded. An aid station at the start/finish of each lap offers a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, and cheese items, including vegan options. Toilets and a cafe are available at the race headquarters. There is an unsecured bag drop area. Paid parking is available on-site at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds.

Participation

The event is open to runners and walkers of all abilities. The minimum age is 12 years. For runners aged 18-19, the maximum distance is 45 km; runners must be 20 or older to run over 45 km. Headphones are allowed during the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
